Very good idea with the cardboard! My first and only use of the plasma cutter was back in 1995 I worked as a fabricator building racing oil pans for about 1 year...lots of sheet metal shape cutting with the plasma. If I may give a tip, I suggest that you pick up your travel speed and you will get a much smoother cut...actualy as fast as you can travel and keep the cut going and following your line/template of course...Try practice on scrap and see if I am not right. GOOD LUCK with your shop!
Yeah men, i used the cardboard but for make smalller version of the pice that i want to cut, never to cut directly on the edge... gread idea... my men. :-p
