Lyrics to pretty are simple yet profound. I feel that analyzing a song is like trying to analyze a painting. Everyone will walk away with a different version. We strive to figure out what the writer meant, when maybe what really matters is what we think, since song interpretation is often based on personal reference. That said, I researched the line "And you had no reason to be so insolent to me" It means- rude/arrogant lack of respect. Sharp contrast to "you're so pretty the way you are" xo
