This is a low-res sample from a DVD Product available from http://www.arn.org. In this thought provoking interview Dean Kenyon, Professor of Biology at San Francisco State University, discusses the many problems in current origin-of-life theories which have led him to conclude that life is not the result of undirected chemical processes. Over thirty questions are answered dealing with a wide range of topics including chemical cross-reactions which would have prevented a naturalistic origin-of-life, problems arising from earth's early atmosphere, the problem of optical isomers, questionable assumptions underlying the Oparin-Haldane hypothesis, the origin of genetic information, and more. Focus on the Origin of Life is designed to stimulate classroom discussion and promote further scientific research. It is suitable for public school use. Professor Kenyon is an authority on chemical evolutionary theory and the scientific study of the origin of life. After receiving a Ph.D. in biophysics at Stanford, he later completed post-doctoral work at the University of California, Berkeley
