Graham Bonnet - It's all over now, Baby Blue 1977
Original by Bob Dylan 1965
You must leave now, take what you need,
you think will last.
But whatever you wish to keep,
you better grab it fast.
Yonder stands your orphan with his gun,
Crying like a fire in the sun.
Look out the saints are comin' through
And it's all over now, Baby Blue.
All your seasick sailors, they are rowing home.
All your reindeer armies, are all going home.
The lover who just walked out your door
Has taken all his blankets from the floor.
The carpet, too, is moving under you
And it's all over now, Baby Baby Blue - Baby.
(Instrumental)
Why don't you, why don 't you
Leave your stepping stones behind, something calls for you.
Forget the dead you've left, they will not follow you, oh no
The vagabond who's rapping at your door
Is standing in the clothes that you once wore.
Strike another match, go start anew
And it's all over now, Baby Blue.
Don' t you know it's gone
It's all over now, Baby Blue.
Mmmmmh ...
Aaaaah ...
It's all over
I'm one of those autistic middle aged men who reckon Graham Bonnet had the best rock voice ever, but there's another voice that never really cracked the big time except here in Australia - Russell Morris - have a listen to him singing Sweet Love - what a voice.

A small but devoted group of probably autistic middle aged me regard Graham Bonnet as the greatest rock singer ever. And yet only 3,320 people have watched this video, only six have expressed a preference.. The guy had a hell of a voice. But theres more than an ability to belt out Top C to being a singer .
