This is is me singing Jemima's part of "Moments of Happiness" from the amazing musical "Cats" by Andrew Lloyd Webber, using the karaoke vid made by Jekkize.

NOTE: I know my voice doesn't match the timing of Jemima's, which you can faintly hear in the background of the karaoke , but i was more concerned with matching mine to the movement of her lips on the video.

Please comment! :D

NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED- I DO NOT OWN CATS (I WISH!), THE KARAOKE VIDEO ETC ETC I ONLY OWN MY VOICE!!

  • I'm a huge CATS fan and I love singing. Could you explain how you made the fandub? I love your vid and I want to try my own.

  • @WndRnr314 I downloaded the instrumental video in either WMV or AVI format (link to it in description box). I recorded myself singing the song using Audacity, and saved it as an mp3 file. I then imported the instrumental video into Windows Movie Maker, imported the voice track as well and then moved the track along on the timeline until it fitted with the instrumental. Finally, I saved the video to my desktop, so it was in WMV format, which is compatible with youtube. I hope this helps!

  • @seductress123 One thing though, how to you make sure that your words line up exactly with the actor's mouth? You did it so perfectly.

  • @WndRnr314 Thank you. Well, to be honest it's trial and error. I just move the voice track along the timeline so it aligns better with the video. Sometimes I have to cut the voice track into smaller chunks so that I can make individual parts match up. Also, I often sing along with the video while recording (with headphones in so it can't be heard on the recording) so that I can follow the mouth movements. I hope this makes sense but please let me know if you need further help. :)

  • no to be a hater, but you sound like ur singing from your nose : c l

  • @redvelvetqueen24 It's fine, thanks for your feedback. In my defense, I think that some of that is due to the less-than-brilliant quality of my microphone - it does make the sound a bit funny at times - but nevertheless, I'll take your comment on board and try to make sure I'm not singing through my nose!

  • @Vocaloid101202 I'm flattered that you think I sound like Helen Massey, but I am not a liar - I would never try to pretend that her voice is mine. If you listen to the original you should be able to tell the difference.

  • Oh. My. God! You'd be an amazing Jemima in a production!

  • I just selected this song and tabbed out listening to it. Didn't even realize it was a fandub until I went back and read the video description.
