they meant the field. roy williams was never a coverage safety. look where he is most of the time: helping out at the line of scrimmage. he's a run-support safety, not a coverage safety.

he didnt forget what made him good. the cowboys forgot. they tried to make him fill woodson's shoes. roy was a ss for a reason: he was killer on run support, big hits in the underneath routes & a good extra blitzer. the 'boys never took the time to find a competent FS to balance out Roy. As sad as it is to say it, the 'Boys failed Roy. Now they have Sensabaugh, so it's a slight improvement, but they don't have Roy anymore.

WRONG!! He had a couple of good years at the Safety position. Its not the Free Safety's fault Roy got torched in the end. The Cowboys didn't fail anyone, Roy failed the Cowboys and Sensabaugh is a big step up from Roy. When the Boys had Roy teams went after him, he became a liability. He wanted that position, he got pissed cause they wanted him to do other things and asked to be released. He had a couple of good years and thats it, he's nobody special just a player who had a couple of good years
