"In the name of the Harvest Moon, the Sprite Rangers will punish you~"
xD...!
Not so much of a trick as just a silly tribute, but this was part of my attempted contribution to the comedic spirit of April Fools' Day 2010. Hope it counts. =P
Okay, so, I took the tune of the theme song "Moonlight Densetsu," from the anime Sailor Moon, and wrote extremely corny lyrics for what I imagine would be the theme song for the fictional TV show "Harvest Squadron Sprite Rangers" that exists inside the videogame Harvest Moon: Animal Parade.
If you play HM:AP and don't even know what I'm referencing, then you've missed out on some quality entertainment on your in-game TV every Sunday! Here's a playlist of posted recordings of the 16 episodes:

The visuals are based on the Japanese Sailor Moon OP, the first sequence collected here:

I just tried to incorporate all the random ideas from the show (plus a bit from the actual plot of the game).
The in-game show features the five Harvest Sprites forming a superhero team (i.e. amusingly ridiculous super sentai anime spoof - complete with masks, transformations, and the assistance of a special sixth Phantom Sprite) in order to help the Harvest Goddess protect the planet (well, mostly just the cows) from Space Devil Hamil (an evil alien version of Mayor Hamilton) and Commander Gilligan (an evil alien version of... well, you figure it out, and I dare you not to laugh).
Also, at the end of each episode, the show in the game gives you a little part of a secret phrase... After watching all the episodes, you can piece the letters together to get the location of a special show-related hidden item. ...Or, you could find out the location via the same letters that I scattered throughout this video via subliminal messaging. Did you catch it?

New lyrics:
Five friends from seemingly peaceful Planet Harvest
Quite soon to learn that evil never does rest
After their transformations, they'll be the best
They are the Harvest Squadron Sprite Rangers!
When villains threaten their beloved homeland
They just won't hesitate to take a stand
There'll be a battle for justice that's so grand
You'll know that they're the real Sprite Rangers!
The most basic elements are where the magic starts:
Fire, water, earth, wind, and heart
With special powers granted by a Goddess
So bravely sworn to defend all goodness
Knowing the fight for true justice is endless
They are the Harvest Squadron Sprite Rangers!
The littlest superhero team!
Come see them in...Harvest Moon!

I bet Hamilton forced Gill to do that show with him...<3

I always thought they were more like the kids from captian planet then sailor moon. I mean, These are the first words in the theme song.
"Earth! Fire! Wind! Water! Heart! Go planet!"

... xD NO WAY! Even "Heart"!? *looks it up, finally* Wow. I never watched Captain Planet as a kid; only now as a teenager do I keep hearing it mentioned in passing as some great nostalgic show.
I swear I didn't know.
I was looking for senshi/sentai series and picked Sailor Moon because it was the one with the coolest OP that I was most familiar with.
...The other elements are obvious, but, pshh, even HEART! If I'd known, I just might have considered that as the parody subject. Sorry.

LOL awesome April Fools Joke. The word I got was "nfrthfspain" or something like that. Am I supposed to unscramble it cause I don't remember anyplace called nfrthfspain in Animal Parade lol

@DigiDreams1102
xD Thank you!
And the hidden message is more like
_N FR___ __ TH_ _____'S PAIN____
Some of the letters turned out really hard to see, though; sorry about that.
It's nothing clever on my part, just the same location mentioned in the in-game show that tells you were you can find a show-related prize... So I guess people will just have to watch the show to find out. xP
