This video is part of a reel for a larger project about Washington, DC rock and roll history. But for now, here's a brief conversation with Bob Berberich, setting up his drums at his Quarry House birthday bash on 12/23/08. Bob played drums for THE HANGMEN, GRIN, ROSSYLYN MOUNTAIN BOYS, and many others. He's one of the most highly regarded and well-liked musicians still playing in Washington, DC. Happy Birthday Bob!
This video will be show in Brooklyn as part of Jeff Krulik: Nuggets

I remember when Bob got his first Cadillac. He was so proud of that old car. He immediately took a bunch of us for a ride in that boat. This was in the Dolphin-Grin days. Nils was still in high school -- great days!

Lots of great memories here.. Good ole "JA the DJ". Believe he made the rounds of WEAM, WEEL, and WPGC radio stations as I recall. The Hangmen sure rings a bell too....
