  • hey, u are saying that if u play the newest games like Call of Duty 4 that its that u stick with Windows...

but if u wanna play games like Team Fortress 2

    or Counter-Strike..

do u need to stick with Windows too then ?

or can u play it too on Ubuntu ?

  • All the source games work with WINE but if you're a big gamer I would definitely make sure you at least have a partition for XP because most new games don't work with WINE.

  • I cant wait for linux to really take off will be great once everyone gets on it and all developers have to start catering for it.

  • omg... is world of warcraft really fun?

(i was thinking these big games and special effects would take up too much space or lag on windows... ubuntu kind of unlocks your computer. it makes it worth doing alot of terminal..ing) xD

  • roody-poo candy-ass

  • Nice desk setup. :D All your gaming bases on one table.

  • You are ally, so you are gay

  • @supreme2lol oh yes old comment saying cod4 is new

  • @MisterMCFreeze

Actually this is not true, most people playing WoW in particular notice some fps improvement, I myself gained 10-15 fps in graphically intense areas such as Dalaran. (all with same graphics settings ofc)

  • @xMaJiiCz Let's make it simple. Any game that is designed for Windows WILL run faster in Windows than it would run in Linux. Even using OpenGL, performance could be comparable, but you would still get more fps running Windows to run Windows programs, just like you would get more fps running 3D Linux applications in Linux than you would running 3D Linux apps in Windows.

  • PlayOnLinux It's a front-end for Wine which makes it easier to install stuff.
