@brekkieboy2001 You know you have a good point.

@itsrobert Ok I agree with your opinion, this music is a bit of an aquired taste, shame it only lasted a year.
-
i dont know really, they just used to find it infuriatingly repetitive and irritating.
xD
and that was what i thought, but then again, whenever a new company takes over anything they have to change most things about it, mainly to show people that it is under new management and this is what is going to happen under their control.
which is annoying, but it is the way of the world, sadly.
:)

Plus, they sort of changed the look, remember how 'five' would sort of fade in side ways, well they stopped that too. Was there really any need to complain about a news theme? could have just switched over perhaps? (:
-
yeah, exactly lol
-
personally I really liked this music...but my parents were those who kept on writing in complaining about it...and they changed it eventually....
is you notice any other music they've ever used has been used for years, this one was only 1 year....and about 2 months...they mut have received alot of complaints...
-
i didnt like it compared to the original music, but i agree, compared with skys offer, it was much better. Classier i guess
-
hated it at the time as they'd ditched the original theme in favour of this, which seemed a bit too conservative for Five, but compared to what has followed from Sky, this is far superior.
It wasn't because of complaints - it's because ITN lost the contract to provide Five News for Channel 5. Sky won it, so production moved there. It got a completely new look then. I agree though, the music isn't as bad as many people made out at the time. A lot better than what has followed in recent years...
