Made Tarzan look like Jane in regards to the defensive players that he faced. I had the pleasure of watching this man play in the Metrodome on Dec 14th 1997 and will tell that I have yet to see a single opponent besides #20 hush a half drunken crowd of 60,000+ with his play. I was expecting boos from the crowd, but just the opposite took place. Blank stares... then comments such "Wow" and "How the f**** did he do that?" Talk about RESPECT.

As bad as the Lions have been, no other group of fans got to see anything close to Barry Sanders every Sunday for 10 years. Unless you watched him every week, you don't get it. The most exciting athlete in Sports History. And even if you watched him on TV, to see him live is another matter, how can one player be so much faster than everyone else that they look like they're standing still?
You don't get it. Barry was not the best, he was just not human, not human.
