if you thought the kiss was spontaneous, you're clearly missing something. Watch The Mask and you'll understand why he kisses her. He doesn't do it the second time in the encore performance because everyone was expecting it and they wanted to change it up.
If you really though he would kiss her without her permission, and then drop her during a live broadcast of a dance competition he is trying to win, then you're just stupid.

The kiss was part of the performance! If you watch the dance-sequence from the movie The Mask, you'll understand. Okay? Enough said. :D

I heard he stole the kiss and she was unaware it was going to happen. He was involved with another woman and she was very careful not to get involved with him. She was quoted as saying shw was not a "homewrecker". Hard to tell but it appeared to me that she never really liked him that much.

This wasn't even that surprising! Everything in this dance, the music, costumes, AND the kiss at the end, were all straight out of the movie "The Mask!" You should go watch it if you've never seen it :)
