Insomniac is an intense very compact Intamin launched coaster and is a new take on Intamins world record holding 10-inversion coaster. Unlike Intamin's current 10-inversion models, Insomniac does not mindlessly enter inversions at a slow speed with no respectable layout (quad back-to-back heartline rolls? not here). Accelerating at 2.0G to 80mph in approximately 2 seconds, riders immediately enter a never-before-seen 200 foot inverted top hat, and then begin their nearly 5,300 foot long journey. Also included in the ten inversion layout are various 4.0-4.5G turns, including a sustained 4.3G climb to the dive loop after the top hat, and two instances of ejector airtime (-1.5, and -1.0).

Insomniac was completely custom designed by hand over the course of one month and over 25 hours. It's g-forces remain in the green through the duration of the ride in all rows. It has also been heart-lined and tunnel tested

FAQ

So many inversions?
This is meant to be a new take on Intamin's 10-inversion roller coaster. I, like many, find these designs (such as Colossus at Thorpe Park) to be boring. This is meant to give a refreshing take on that concept.

  • I am very impressed. The transitions were great, the inversions were very nice. I'm not such a fan of the cobra or the loop (Too generic but fits beautifully with your ride) and the colors. Come on... Black, black, black ,gray. Either way, amazing and I think this is one of, if not, the top coaster you have made. GREAT JOB!

  • Thanks!!!

  • WOW VERY SMOOTH

  • Also, where did you get AHG? All I can find is one place that you have to sign up for, and I don't know the website, so...

  • Honestly, you should sell your designs! They're so much better than many real rides I know of, but yet they're all realistic and relatively practical for parks to have.

  • One of the BEST No Limits coasters I've ever seen, including the ones made in newton! Probably almost everybody would be scared shitless about going on this thing, but me, I'd be laughing my but off! =D AMAZING WORK!!!

  • Dude, ur talented

  • epic!

  • WOW! This was done really well...i really like what you do :D Although the loop didn't fit well for some reason, it just seemed weird...BUT, im sure it would be a very successful ride the way it is...i sure would ride it :) good job! Keep them coming! I wanna buy this program myself!!!

  • Really nice man, the shaping of some of the elements were iffy though. Not your best, but still cool

  • Love your coasters, But you always use the same coaster type, Most of your designs look the same, Good coaster though

  • Very, very nice, but why is there no sound?
