Invited to UBC by the Terry Project (terry.ubc.ca), Bill McKibben warns that British Columbia sits at a major nexus of hydrocarbon trade between the largest new sources of oil (the Tarsands) and coal (the Rockies and Vancouver island) and the largest new customers in Asia.

He argues that this fact of geography confers a special responsibility to do something about this new trade in the dirtiest of all GHG sources.

This 42-minute speech includes neither the overview of the Terry Project, introduction of the speaker, nor audience questions. Added, however, are dozens of images that dramatize Bill's words and drive his point home, all harvested from Google Images and acknowledged insofar as possible in a credit roll.
