This video represents one of many steps available as free do it yourself 300 Watt pedal power generator plans. It takes about one hour to do this project. After watching this instructional video you will understand how to cut wire, strip wire, and use crimp on spade & fork connectors to connect your dynamo generator to a lead acid battery power pack. In this case it's the Duracell power pack.
@qcages The Duracell powerpack has a 28 Amp Hour battery in it. If it sees more than 2 Amps from the solar panel then I recommend you use a charge controller. So in short -- if your solar panels are 12V And they put out more than 50 Watts, then you need a charge controller to maximize the life of your power pack battery.

I'm thinking about buying the Duracell Powerpack for a bicycle generator, and for storing the charge of a couple small solar panels. Since the powerpack has a fuse in it, would i need to add a charge controller to the solar, or would it be fine with the panel's blocking diode, and the powerpack's fuse?
Thanks for the videos, they have helped a lot with me trying to figure out the best way to go about building a bike generator!
