@CoconutSurf44 THX FOR Saying to turn the printer on, I also just got one and I tried to put the cartridges in for like 15 mins and nothing, then I read this turned it on and finally I can get them into place, I wonder the the hell designed this kind of cartridge installing system -_-

OMG! what a piece of sh_t! Who designed this printer? Put that person in torture chamber for 5 days! WTF!
OK this is what you do. From off state, close everything, top side, front side, everything. Turn it on. Wait to hear all the things this stupid thing do, wait... Once all is done. Open the front and the top. WAIT! the inks will move to the left. When it stop then change them.

@CoconutSurf44 Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! I have been driving myself crazy, wondering if I had removed a piece from the printer and misplaced it, because I couldn't see where the CARTRIDGES WERE SUPPOSED TO SNAP IN! It is completely counterintuitive for the power to be on when you open up an electronic device.

@djteam9 How do you do it?

canon printers are suck!!! i have 1 @ home it always low on ink and always error!!!

I paused at 8 seconds and that was all I needed to know. However the whole process of switch printer on, open this panel, wait for cartridges to align should really be shown. Thanks though for the help.

Yeah, you should've mentioned that the printer was on, and you should have shown how to open the printer up, but that was easy once I figured out the beginning. Took 30 seconds, don't know how some people screwed up so badly.
You could at least say ONE VERY IMPORTANT STEP: TURN THE PRINTER ON!
I had to spend over 30 minutes figuring that step out. It was easy once the printer was TURNED ON!

Make sure your cartridge holder is on the left side, and not on the right. If it's on the right, the new cartridges will feed into nothing. Turn the printer on, and have the holder move to the left.
