Yes, it's super cool and a lot better to my ears than your typical hipster jangle rock. I'm an instant fan.
But let's keep in mind that thousands of Africans have been playing EXACTLY this music for decades. Have you every heard a real soukous band from Nigeria?
Check out the album "Super Guitar Soukous" on Hemispheres label and you will appreciate Fool's Gold even more.
