There is no sound to this video. Follow along with the cursor.
1. Make a new User Name. Do this by clicking the arrow that faces to the right. Select New. Enter your name (use your character name or something everyone knows you as) Click OK.
2. Add a new Server. Do this by clicking the arrow that faces to the right. Select New. Enter what you want for the server name. (Members of Withering Wizards should use the guild name) Click OK. Follow the video instruction. The server info in the video is the info you will need to enter if you are a member of Withering Wizards.
We ask that no outside users attempt to join the server. We have limited slots on our Vent.
3. Password (and all other vent info) is available to members of Withering Wizards on the guild website or in the guild info tab in-game. (Or ask an officer)
4. Changing your Settings. Once you are connected to the server, you will need to adjust a few settings. Click 'settings' on the right hand side of the Vent window. It may look a little intimidating, but don't let it scare you. First make sure your hotkey is enabled. This is the button you will press down on your keyboard when you want to speak. The default hotkey for Ventrillo is the left CTRL button (located in the very bottom left corner of your keyboard). I suggest using left ALT. To change this, click in the rectangular box and press the alt button on the left hand side of your keyboard.
Make sure your sound settings are correct. Press record and say something into your microphone. After you are done recording, play it back. If your voice seemed quiet, move the bar labeled 'Outbound' to the right. If you seemed loud, move it to the left.
Once you join the server and begin talking with other members, they should be able to help you with any other questions related to your Vent settings.
Can't wait to talk with you!

@MrFlyStatus I remember having this problem a few times myself, but I can't really remember what I did to resolve this. I think it had something to do with vent trying to use a different sound device than was default. Check to make sure the correct sound device is selected. Other than that, check out Ventrillo's FAQ's. Hope this helps!

I downloaded it for free, it's called CamStudio. It's not the greatest, but it did the trick.
