my female just laid an egg and i am really happy about it. i did not expect her to be gravid because of their age. they sexually matured before the end of breeding season and my geckos are relatively small which is why i thought they would mature after breeding season (10cm or so). all i noticed was that she was very nervous around me and that she seemed to be over fed so to speak. i saw insertion but i thought that the sperm would not fertilize anything. please message me if you have questions or are interested in the egg when it hatches

  • cool, only one egg?

  • more could come. they were juveniles when i got them and probalbly matured a month or two ago. i might expect one more egg before the end of breeding season. each month they lay appr. 2 eggs and incubation period is between 60 and 80 days

  • @Ash22531 It is perfectly normal, maybe she is laying ann egg, but i doubt that

  • !!!!!PLEASE HELP!!!!! Is it normal for my female gold dust day gecko to bury herself in the reptibark? She comes back up. Is she possibly laying an egg underground? I just got her a week ago and she already laid one egg but she ate it. And shes not shedding right now...so idk wats happening. !!!!!PLEASE HELP!!!!!

  • @tartantulakid666 when she lays the egg, you place it in a incubator correct? do you have the egg in some sort of moist moss? Like Spanish moss?

  • Did the Gecko have more eggs? If they did, did they all hatch????

  • Are gold dust day geckos okay with handling? or are they the kind of lizard that can't be handled at all?

  • it will prob be infertile

  • OMG thats SOOOOOO freaking cool!!!!!!!!!

    I read that:

You can leave it in the cage if the temps are about 80-90.

they lay 2 eggs a clutch

    the babies are SOOOO cute

  • u should put it in a egg incubator ........or u can just make 1

  • got a question do they always lay eggs high up like that one?

  • has it hatched yet?
