this is the first step in our development of a low cost piece of hardware to reclaim TVs used for advertising in public space.

All props to xSmurf on the Arduino forum for the NTSC code which this PAL version is based on ( http://www.arduino.cc/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1188261175/0 )

  • From what it looks you haven't compensated for the delay in handlung the ISR. Just read out the value of the timer, and use that to jump into a field of NOPs.

  • iv got a task for you, hack into the signal to display your own custom teletext on a teletext tv :D

  • Hey I've coded something similar for PIC and it does the same exact thing which is artifacts at the end of the vertical part of pixels, it looks like it's "delayed" or something, have you found any solution for that? Thanks in advance.

  • I need an Arduino and please send me the code thats something I could use in my robot for his screen eyes!

  • nope this isn't intercepting anything, it's overriding signal. I personally have never seen a commercial use of wireless broadcasting to transmit advertising across a short distance...

  • intercept wireless cameras o.O

  • Hi, just out of interest, how do you intend to hijack the TVs in public spaces? Do they somehow work with wireless, or will you somehow attach on the the cable to the TV?

    Thanks :)

  • very nice!

  • woot!
