The　word　"Bonote"　consists　of　three　parts,"Bo",　which　means　"a　staff",　"No",which　means　"of", and　"Te",　which　means　"form".　In　other　words,　bonote　means　an　art　of　a　staff.　It's　a bit like　"Chanbara". If you know of chanbara,　perhaps you know that it's not to hit anybody　 freely .　There　is　a　way，and 　the　winner is　predetermined. 　There　are　shouts　such　as　"Ya",　"Ho"　etc.
