The book may be purchased via Wouk's site: www.googleldn.com. It will be available worldwide at all booksellers sometime in February.
From the back cover of Google LDN ! :
Diagnosed with Progressive Relapsing Multiple Sclerosis, Joseph Wouk, youngest son of novelist Herman Wouk refuses to accept the doctors opinion that there is nothing more to be done for his medical condition. He plans to go to the Amazon to try to cure himself with a Shamans ayahuasca ceremony.
The book begins as a journal entitled, PLACEBO A Rationalist Seeks a Miracle Cure. Wouk, a hardened western rationalist has no patience for spooks or spirits or any other new age wishful thinking. His plan is to try to delude himself with psychedelics into thinking he is cured - Thereby activating the placebo effect to cure himself for real.
He covers all the bases: From Buddhism to Judaism. From quantum physics to Gödels incompleteness theorem. From alternative medicine to the Metaphysics of Quality.
Told with humor and honesty, Wouk pulls the reader through his thought processes as he watches his mind dissolve from the subcortical dementia caused by his particular variant of MS.
Right before he is scheduled to leave for Peru, all his MS symptoms suddenly disappear. The only drug he was taking was Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN).
The second part of the book is entitled: LDN Miracle Cure Found ! After his symptoms disappear, Wouk finds out that LDN has been stopping the progress of Progressive MS for 20 years. It also has been helping cancer victims, AIDS patients, Parkinsons sufferers, and a host of other immune system related diseases.
Naltrexone was FDA approved only to treat recovering addicts. The low dose version works its magic by tripling the bodys production of endorphins. This restores the immune system to full operation; hence the drugs ability to help so many diseases. It doesnt fight the diseases; the body fights them once the immune system is restored. Because it is now generic, no one will spend the millions required for FDA approval.
Google LDN ! is Wouks attempt at Dana Paramita, the Buddhist version of Christian good works.
The book includes a hundred page appendix with the most up to date information about LDN and its effects on immune system related diseases.
Youll laugh and cry through the first part of the book and be inspired by the second part.
A man who refuses to give up in the face of insurmountable odds ends up completely healed despite the hopelessness that western medicine tells him he faces.
This works, I have MS and have been on LDN for over a year and a half. I do take one half of a Kirkland (Costco brand) sleeping pill at night This is amazing.
By the way, my neurologist did not want me on it. I think he liked me taking a $3500.00 a month drug instead of a #20 a month drug. Do your own research and you will be blown away. It is all true.

Number of hits on Youtube vids has propelled more than a few items into public awareness. Even the media and government pay attention over about 1 million hits. Set a shortcut to the first "Google LDN ! Part One" and open it every day, or as often as it comes to mind.
If you blog or network, post that instruction.

Thanks for spreading the message about LDN. I was diagnosed 11/05 and just started LDN this month. I'm on 1.5mg for 3wks then I'll do 3mg/3wks then 4.5mg...I'm so happy to have finally found a doctor that understands the help and relief this drug can bring!

My dad was given 6 MONTHS to live, 3/07, I got him on LDN that month, in 6 months they stopped chemo because his tumors shrunk in half; 6 months later on LDN alone his tumors shrunk in half again. He's in remission and stable, now 22 months later. 84 yrs old.
