Told with humor and honesty, Wouk pulls the reader through his thought processes as he watches his mind dissolve from the subcortical dementia caused by his particular variant of MS.

Right before he is scheduled to leave for Peru, all his MS symptoms suddenly disappear. The only drug he was taking was Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN).

The second part of the book is entitled: LDN Miracle Cure Found ! After his symptoms disappear, Wouk finds out that LDN has been stopping the progress of Progressive MS for 20 years. It also has been helping cancer victims, AIDS patients, Parkinsons sufferers, and a host of other immune system related diseases.

Naltrexone was FDA approved only to treat recovering addicts. The low dose version works its magic by tripling the bodys production of endorphins. This works, I have MS and have been on LDN for over a year and a half. I do take one half of a Kirkland (Costco brand) sleeping pill at night This is amazing.

By the way, my neurologist did not want me on it. I think he liked me taking a $3500.00 a month drug instead of a #20 a month drug. Do your own research and you will be blown away. It is all true.

Thanks for spreading the message about LDN. I was diagnosed 11/05 and just started LDN this month. I'm on 1.5mg for 3wks then I'll do 3mg/3wks then 4.5mg...I'm so happy to have finally found a doctor that understands the help and relief this drug can bring!
