Q45 REAR MUFFLER DELETE

This is what it sounds like when you remove the rear suitcase muffler on a 95 Q45 and replace it with straight pipes. This is a very inexpensive mod that will give the car a new sound. Performance wise, it might net you a few horsepower, say around 5-10 hp. I didn't rev it too high because of the neighbors. Max rpm in the vid is about 4000.

how many inch pipes did you replace the muffler with?

@tonnybare It's about 3 feet per side or you could also install a y-pipe and run it as a single outlet.

My infinity's pipes split before the catalitic convertor and each go through a set of small mufflers then the 2 pipes run into a single large muffler. Did you cut that huge one off and leave the other 2 small ones on? The car run any better after?

Leave the 2 under-car mufflers in place. The car will make a bit more power but mostly it will sound meaner. :)

i never had exhaust on my 03 m45 but tire kingdom did managae to break of my y pipe right after the headers, so for a week it sounded like a beast with open headers, peaople gave me the funniest looks , lol, yours sounds good
