@LeetMetalhead2 yes you are right about dimmu borgir,and same to all new wave norwegian black metal bands,the only true norwegian are gorgoroth and burzum,but they too only intend to have attention,more than having creativity in their music!! anyway every one has his taste in music,mine isn't for black metal,not only because of the anti-christian lyrics,but because of the musical style and the disturbing shrieked vocals but i love the blast beat drumming!!

@sharamandarata You don't have to support a musician's ideologies to listen to it. I'll listen to the music whether it supports atheism, Christianity, Judaism, Islam, etc., as long as I enjoy the music. Ironically, Dimmu Borgir is a band that sells its image instead of its music; they're hardly considered black metal by the metal community, since they hardly play black metal, and mostly they just dress up stupid to look like "kvlt" satanists...

@sharamandarata Black metal is pretty metal if you ask me. However, they were involved more in their own sub-culture, so I'll give you that. Also, it's definitely not emo. In fact, far from it, since it has a lot to do with being "evil" and destructive. I personally enjoy first wave black metal bands the most, and I don't agree with their violence. Also, as a whole I listen to mostly old school death, thrash, doom, trad heavy, speed, stoner, and a bunch of stuff in between.
