Soldiers of the 84th Engineer Battalion returned to Schofield Barracks, Hawaii following a year-long deployment in Iraq. The Soldiers completed hundreds of engineering projects in northern Iraq and assisted in the training of Iraqi engineers.
I was in the 84th from 77-80 went to enewetak atoll and was radiated for 6 months, cleaning up nuclear bomb debris and we never saw a homecoming like this, some have died from cancer and some are still suffering from it, sorry to see the change of command from West pac, from the lazy H we kicked the Divisions butt in79 rifle competition
