  • this is the hqi, i am interested in buying one of these for corals, but my concern is that with 150w lighting: doesn't the water temp reach unsafe levels?

What temp does this tank run at & do you need a cooler?

  • well do you live in a hot climate? the lights get pretty warm but the only time i needed a chiller was during the summer..me being stupid left the light on over night on a 100+ degree day and lost my corals but it hasnt been a problem just dont run the lights for longer than you need...other than that its a great tank to start with or if you want something small id say this is the one because it can support basicly any coral..i now have a 300g reef and i learned from this tank.

  • how's the coral beauty going?? I have one of these on order and would love a coral beauty or cherub angel...

  • i lost my entire tank a few months ago when it got really hot..the timer didnt turn the light off and it stayed on all night and water got too hot everything was gone..but im starting new with the 300g...the nano is gonna be my sick tank for fish and corals.only a couple fish and some coral in there now.

  • nemo and dori ;D

  • hey, i got this fish tank, but i got the cf quad version 28g, the question is "CAN I CHANGE THE 105 WATT LIGHTS FOR A LED VERSION?" AND THATS WITHOUT CHANGING THE TANK, JUST THE LID FOR THE LIGHTS.

  • I got mine on the internet

  • where do i get a nanocube at?

  • How do u like it?

  • I have had mine up and running for a year here in Atlanta. I limit the summer light time to 6 or 7 hours. Corals are fine. You can buy a retrofit for the hood that allows you to install larger fans. In any case, make certain that your have plenty of surface circulation to help cool the water constantly. I have avoided adding a chiller for an add'l $300. Just be careful not to buy heat sensitive corals or fish. I will run between 80-83 degrees in the summer. Winter is not an issues.

  • how much the 300 cost ya?

  • East cost were about, lol, im into nano cubes and my fav car that is kinda affordable is the M3. or 335i coup.
