Anoushka Shankar, the daughter of the living legend of classical Indian music, Ravi Shankar (a sitar virtuoso, who performed at the Prague Spring Festival fifty years ago and together with Anoushka's sister, the singer Norah Jones, and Sting, was a guest musician on her last album, Breathing Under Water), returnined to the Festival stage for the first time in five years, now with an international ensemble, the Anoushka Shankar Project.
On 24 May 2010, in addition to Anoushka's sitar, we heard the Indian musicians Tonmoy Bose on the tabla and Ravichandra Kulur on flutes and the khanjira (a kind of tambourine), together with a British player of the tanpura (a traditional Indian lute), Nick Able, and two Americans, Leo Dombecki on piano and Barry Phillips on cello.

  • @lobrei It is not about Ravi Shankar....it is about Anoushka Shankar....and she is not a famous musician coz of her beuty or coz she is the his daughter....she is famous, coz of her talent...her creativity...etc.... So don´t mix everything together....

  • god....and I didn´t know it.....sh......It would have been one of the best thing to be in her concert and to spend some days in this amazing city. :-(
