He lacks the childish timbre commonly associated with emo singing, I love his voice but his technique seriously needs improvement. It has got better recently, but it still has several problems. Listen to any recent performance of Jetpacks Was Yes while opening for Dream Theater, on many choruses he still cracks like a squirrel being castrated (for cracking I mean something like 3:13 here, note loses complete support and, in fact, sucks; in worst cases no sound comes out). And he strains a lot.

i really love the sound. BUT i can't stand how much he over uses the singing. its not a good singing voice like between the buried and me...its that fucking annoying bitch emo style singing. pisses me the fuck off. his screaming is great. music is great. but it just ruins it for me. disappointed right now :/

Amazing vocal preformance. Too many bands suck live when it comes to the vocals but this is perfect in my opinion
