It's hard to tell what I am doing watching this video, so let me explain a bit. When I let the weight stretch me, I am actually sucking in my stomach as hard as i can, training my transverse abdominus. Then I crunch my abs to pull the weight down. Sucking in your stomach like this really improves your ability to keep your abs tucked in nice and tight. Not training transverse abs is one of the biggest mistakes I see in ab training. This looks strange but do it, and a few sets into it you will see what i mean about having control over keeping your stomach sucked in.
