i tried to do that and it turned out looking like lumpy porridge LOL. but if i added a water like material and did some more tweaking it would look fine. nice work.

Thanks very much for the material settings, I've tried to move the noise offsets around but nothing appears to work. Am I supposed to modify all XYZ offsets in all 3 Noise maps per frame to produce the waves?

Use the autokey function, example: set key on frame 0, then enable autokey then go to frame 100 or something and change the offset values after you're done disable autokey

This was more of an experiment, and I don't recommend using this method for actual work, however, I added a link to an image with the max material on it to the 'more info' on this video
