The D-CIS lab participated at the European Micro Aeral Vehicle 2008 indoor flight competition.
The MAV platform is a modified lama v4 coaxial helicopter fitted with 2 cameras for stereo vision. Throughout the flight the MAV is controlled through a helmet mounted display producing a stereoscopic first person view. The video shows the view of the right hand camera.
This flight resulted in 1st place for the indoor autonomy mission.

  • Wow! Amazing. What kind of motors do you use? (brushless?) Do you use 3-axis gyro to stablize your MAV?

  • The platform heas been completely modified. It has 2 ELE C10 brushless motors and a single axis heading hold gyro. Nick and roll stability is achieved by the flybar.
