If you look carefully you can see the navigator saluting .If you can't then go to http://www.phpbber.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=1680&highlight=&mforum=f... and see the fantastic photo taken by dramaticprariedog who was there on the same day i witnessed this fantastic aircraft fly past .
I think the navigator is taking the piss! (Well spotted by dramaticprariedog ) as i never noticed it myself and i am sure some viewers won't at first but look carefully .
Filmed 24th September 2009 at 1600 local time at the "Mach" loop Wales. You can Watch the 1 minute version including some Hawks at "Mach Loop 24th Sept 2009" and believe me he does salute.

  • To be fair, dipping his wing as he did is actually a salute, so fair enough

  • @phuturephunk01 What the video is about is that the WSO/ Navigator is actually saluting as the aircraft passes , if you cannot see this then check out the link in the information or watch Cheeky RAF Tornado flight crew Salute at 400 M.P.H part 2 Thanks

  • @paulnod we can see that... but what phuturephunk01 is saying is that, by dipping his right wing, the pilot is also saluting

  • @crazycurtis28 Sorry i was just checking that you saw what i was pointing out in the clip as i think alot of people can't or choose not to see it. Hope you liked it!

  • I dont see shit... But nice move really

  • @Moe11032 try the other clip,,, same title part 2 , it should be more clear and has a photo attached

  • How shit a job is being a navigator. It's like being a bus conductor. I mean, what *exactly* are you skilled up for when you leave the air force...other than bus conducting

  • Tornado's are great, but eurofighter Typhoons are something else!

  • @123kalvin321 No problem. You're lucky being in the UK to have an opportunity to see stuff like this [though sadly Tornados are a rare breed these days] - rare seeing anything like it in Canada [esp. on the west 'wet' coast].

I am aware NATO pilots [RCAF/USAF/RAF/RNAF/LW & AM] out of the NATO tactical flight training school at CFB Goose Bay, Newfoundland & Labrador do something similar up & down the coast of Labrador [flying nap-of-the-earth]. Must be an awsome sight!

    Cheers!

  • @paulnod ahhh yeah i understand.

i do like it! tornado's are my favorite aircraft :D

  • when i was little i went fishing with my dad, when and F-18 did a flyby on us, i fell in the water :/

  • wow, i can see him picking his nose too!
