  • The Scouts of modern times are horribly shameful. I'm a life scout, soon going on eagle, and when I go camping with my troop or if I go to summer camp my scouts and other scouts don't deserve to wear their uniforms. They speak profanity, disrespect others, and disregard the scout oath and law completely. I hope to God that there's some good scouts still doing the right thing out there and upholding the oath and law. Thanks for the video, it's a good reminder of the responsibility each scout has.

  • @LiquidMetalOnline Thanks for your comment about the Scout Vesper.

  • @LiquidMetalOnline What kind of troop are you in? Our troop does everything the oath and law tell us to. Do you live in a city perhaps? Usually not the best scout troops there, with all do respect.

  • @Shadowlink839 I am not with a troop or pack right now. I'm working with our District and on the District Committee. For many years I was a Pack Leader ...Tiger Den Leader through Webelo. Then worked with a BS troop through 2009.

I leave in the Middle TN area. We have many packs/troops in our District. They are very good. thanks for your comment.

  • As an old Explorer scout & cub master for over 7 yrs, I so enjoy this. It makes me feel proud of the service of scouting & what I do. I encourrage this in all my youngsters

  • @dagwoodveg I appreciate you listening and glad that you enjoy the song. I enjoyed recording it. I hope all your youngsters enjoy it as well. Thank You.

  • I was an active Boy Scout for years, I only made the rank of life but had many great memories! One of the strongest is of singing this song at a close family friends funeral years ago. At then end of the service the family requested that all scouts sing the Vesper. We all locked arms encircled the room and sang the song one last time for our dear friend. He was a great man and it was one of the hardest things I have ever done and everyone found it near impossible to finish the song.

  • @Shadowlink839 Well to protect the reputation of my troop I won't disclose information (Sorry!) But we are located in Northern NJ. Sorry for the late reply, busy lately. I'm in a boyscout troop, we don't live in the city but I can give you a hint about how some of our scouts act, go type in Youtube Poop Robotnik and his gameboy. they say "Pingas" curse outloud and pull pranks that aren't very funny but instead irritate people.

  • This is a really nice video. Im in girls scout and we just went camping yesterday. I felt really tired and frustrated because nobody listens in our troop. They disrepect the adults and just cares about having fun. I cried during the last day feeling really disappointed in my troop but nobody really cares. They were playing with fire and I got mad because that damages the air. *sigh

  • @Clarancecat you can earn them over agian hahaha as long as you can wait 3 more months and 5 merit badges i know someone with 7

  • @bobertgreat How did you get 4 palms? As far as I know, there's only Bronze, Gold, and Silver palms.

  • it's hard to say that in a month i will be 18 no longer a boy scout but an adult leader i won't be able to do the scout games or merit badges. i have to say it's been a fun 12 years in scouting from tiger cub to now i've had a blast many memoreys. as an eagle scout with 4 plams it's been a ball i just finished my last summer camp as a scout and will miss scouting very much as now i start a new chapter in my life getting ready for college. scouting is the best programs out there i will miss it.
