Everyone, no matter big or small is trying to outsmart one another. Tourists are the worst hit!
6 yrs ago on my last trip there, at Fitgerald's front ice cream shop, I paid with $50 bill, and they claimed $5. At convenience store, I bought a $3 apple[less than a dollar at grocery] with $20 bill, and they claimed its $5 bill. Then on taxi, driver didn't returned $20 due change. And of course, I like nearly everyone else who gamble, lost a dear amount of monies to big casinos!
