How to import mail and contacts from another email account to Gmail

• Log in to Gmail account.
• Click on Settings tab.
• Go to Accounts and Import tab. Click import mail and contacts option.
• Fill in the account you want to link for importing mail and contacts. Click on Continue button. Enter password.
• Give import options. By default, there will be contacts and mails imported from the account from last 30 days.
• Click on Start Import option to begin the process. The process will take several hours to up to 2 days for full import.
• You will the proceeding import in Import mail and contacts section. To stop an import, click on Stop tab.
• You will receive the notification on the completion of import.
• You will be able to see the contacts in your email and also, the tab showing the account from which you took the contacts will also be shown.
• Gmail prohibits duplication and there will be no duplicated entries in your account.

  • how do you remove the import and stop it from displaying that message on top every time you log into gmail
