Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the garden... ScienCentral interviews cast and crew of "The Happening," as well as a plant toxicologist from New York University, about toxic plants, religion vs. science, and the challenges of making this enviro-horror film. For more, check out ScienCentral News' original story on toxic plants, "The Happening and Plant Science".

  • The movie wasen't too good Mark's acting was actually bad for the first time but John's acting was legendary as always.

  • The joke is M. Night Shyamalan

  • ohhhh shyamalan, your picture certainly had horrific things happening in it, but it sure as fuck wasn't beautiful.

  • How Shyamalan could think plants could be scary is amazing. Plants are not scary. Little Shop of Horrors was scarier than this.

  • @HeyJoslynBETHEBEST hot dogs get a bad rap, explain how that scene adds to the movie.

  • I don't know why all of you hate it so much. I loved it. It's orginal, the actors were just fine, and Shyamalan remains my inspiration.

  • You just can't take Shamala seriously anymore.

  • This movie was almost on par with Tommy Wiseau's "The Room." It was so bad that it wasn't almost fun to watch for it's crappiness.

  • People are arguing about the plot... the plot was actually original, just needed some tweaking... the problem came in the execution...directing-awful, acting-awful... I bet the food service on set was awful... just to match the rest of the awfulness....

  • Rednecks didn't do that, M. Night Shyamalan's writing did it.
