Live at the Eel Pie Club in Twickenham on 18th May 2011. Very much part of the London Rhythm n Blues scene in the 1960s, The legendary Downliners Sect played at Eel Pie Island and took over The Rolling Stones' residency at Ken Colyer's Club in London's West End. Last year the Eel Pie Club was proud to host the launch of their critically acclaimed CD, 'Chinese Whispers' with all but a few songs written by Don Craine and Keith Grant. They still attract crowds of thousands in Japan, Spain and Sweden, where their song, 'Little Egypt', reached No. 1 in the Hit Parade. The Downliners Sect today are Don Craine (vocals/guitar), Keith Grant (vocals/bass), Del Dwyer (vocals/guitar), John O'Leary (vocals/harp), Mark Freeman (drums). www.downlinersect.com .
