In 2002, the town of Golden, British Columbia served as the regional qualifying race for North America. The top two Canadian, and a single US team would qualify to enter Eco-Challenge Fiji.
This video was produced, shot and edited by one single person over the 5-day race and was ready to be presented by the closing ceremonies. Chris Owen Halper has gone on to become the leading Adventure Race Photographer.

Id honestly not heard of it besides hearing that randy couture had entered it. Id never seen it on tv so its a possibility it was a matter of exposure though i looked at a couple other videos on here and it was mentioned the producer was the same for survivor so it was a possibility he had to make a pick for which would make him more money...who knows...

anyone know the eco challenge website? 3 friends of mine and myself are wondering if we could train for a year or two and compete.. or did the challenge not continue? (i heard rumours)
