ASUS G51VX-RX05

Playing TES IV: Oblivion on my Asus gaming laptop.

Recorded with a camera. Fraps counter included. All settings set to the max (Ultra High). Antialiasing is off. Runs at 40-60fps, also depends on the amount of action going on in the game as well as the number of enemies on the screen.

Overall - great performance, in-game graphics are gorgeous. I didn't try hard to play it, just wanted you to see how the game performs.

  • would you say that the low screen resolution effects the look of games at all?

  • @demonchacer No, I wouldn't say that at all. The image is crisp and clear be it games, movies, text, etc. Most (if not all) of the newest games natively support 1366x768 resolution so I never had a problem with games not showing up properly. I'm still using this laptop today and it performs like the day I got it. So far, this laptop is the biggest and bestest investment I have made in my life. Hope that helps.

  • dude, you have fraps why would you record this with a camera?

  • @rubinyokiller Recording with Fraps drops framerate by nearly a half. With a cam, it shows a true number of frames when playing games. No altering to the fps number.

  • @recon205 if you still havent bought it buy either The "ASUS G60VX-RBBX05" it has the same specs as the one in the video(also the one i have) but a faster core2duo 2.15GHz CPU for the same price over at Tiger . com or you could spend an extra $50 and get the Asus G71GX-RX05 which has a core2duo at 2.54GHz 6GB RAM and a 17" screen. take a look at them at Tiger . com it's a great site i trust it with all my gadgets.

  • vanilla oblivion is boring

i have 20 GB plugins^^ THEN this game rocks!

  • @12345cacahead There is no Halo: Reach for PC. It is an XBox 360 exclusive. Also, Modern Warfare 2 does perform very well. Runs at 70-80 fps everything maxed out which is more than enough for a very smooth gameplay.
