I love retail history, so any time I pass through a town, I like to sneak some video of the local grocery store. This Kroger caught my eye, with its definite 60's-70's outdoor sign. Inside, it was a small grocery store that reminded me of growing up in the 1970's. Very cool. Located in Wayne, Michigan, on the way to Detroit.

  • My mom has been shopping at this Kroger since before I was born...she insists, even though I have told her about my nice modern updated Kroger thats only a couple miles away. Although, like a few people said it IS known as the "Ghetto Kroger" around here(with good reason), it is still employing people and as long as people still shop there it is a great thing, the last thing we need is more stores closing.

  • also known as the ghetto kroger, but I do shop at that one from time to time. :)

  • This looks like the Kroger on Allen and West Road's in Woodhaven. The store in Woodhaven has 4 regular checkouts and 4 U-Scan's though.

  • lmfao, i live in wayne michigan, =)

  • thats the same looking and layout at the krogers in benwood,wv 284 nigga

  • HEY MY BROTHER WORKS THERE OMG!!!!

  • people make the sound of the 80s like being so long ago, i guess it would be like the 50's to me to somebody younger today.

  • lol, it's a ghetto kroger, that's fucking aweosme!

  • Thats where the 747 Isreali Strip Club Mossad Bodyguards, park their service vehicles during their shift.

  • They have the updated Checkout- Light up lane signs, but the isle signs are probably from the 80's. I know quite a few Kroger stores in small towns that have about 5 isles and 3 checkout's and no u-scans!!
