I sailed aboard the Brig Lady Washington from Half Moon Bay to Moss Landing, California. She was the vessel used to portray the HMS Interceptor in Disney's "Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl".
The adventure began the night before when I and four other 'passengers' slept aboard her to be ready for departure the next morning at whatever time the Captain commanded; that being before sunrise. The journey was mostly under motor, unfortunately, due to the lack of sufficient wind for the sails. But it was glorious just the same. The camera occasionally bobbled, because it isn't easy to keep stable on that boat.
I didn't sleep much during the night, so the next day, while on the rough sea, I went below deck to my bunk. And instead of feeling seasick, the rocking of the boat lulled me gently to sleep. It was such a wonderful feeling.
It was a lovely, lovely ride. I highly recommend it. Also, bring pieces of ginger to aid any nausea.
