Ma sentite cosa faceva un certo Toscanini con l'Italiana; o anche Karajan - naturalmente - e poi Abbado!

Bravo !
-
This is not Italian music. It is Mendelssohn.

ohne Temperament... bin bißchen enttäuscht

Sure it's slow. All tempo's have their respective merits. This tempo for example is wonderful to acquaint yourself with the piece.
-
@ThePlutino I completely disagree. The spirit of these piece is in the music, not the speed.

Kurt Masur is a Master of the correkt tempi, I think. Instead of Karajan, who most conducted too fast in my mind. I enjoy conducters they give me time enough to listen to the separete parts of this wounderful age of muesic.

I saw Kurt last night in San Francisco, twas a fantastic performance. Though I was a bit out of place... I was the only 21 yr old in a sea of 60+...
