Adding to Funk Composition part 1, I teach you how to create your own song. We cover licks, sections and chords. Best of all, I recorded the song in the studio with two amazing musicians so you can witness the finished product taking shape.

  • Not to denigrate the keybaord, but I can't believe a keyboardist of the level of Willie Myette chose the YPG 625 as his main board (aparently).

Oh well, the lessons still get accross.

  • @cocovi I was in Guitarcenter and looking for something for the lessons and got a great deal on this. I liked the features that it had, but you are right...I would not use this for my gigging board. I actually use the P-60 (yamaha) for gigs. I like the feel of the yamaha action. Thanks for your comment.

  • @JazzEDge what do you think about yamaha p140 for jazz, blues, r&b, acid jazz ecc.. ?

  • @machinegunlicks I would always suggest going to a place to try it out. Check for the sound AND the feel. Also listen through an amp since this is how you will use it on a gig. Take your time and don't be rushed. It is usually a pretty big investment that is sometimes not easy to return and change without hassle.

  • Nice touch putting Eddie Harris's Exercise in 4ths in there... "a.k.a" Freedom Jazz Dance.

  • @cocovi Not to denigrate your comment coco, but I do believe that Willie is so badass he could make a $99 keyboard from Walmart sound good. Just saying.
