Mandrake(Mandriva) is still very much alive and is a great disto, been using it for about 3 years now. Fundamentally all distos are the same, it doesn't really matter which one u use if u know what u doing. The problem is that people expect Linux to be a free version of Windows, which it is not. If your interested in free copy of Windows, check out ReactOS, its a work in progress.

I laugh at anyone too stupid to use Vista. It works perfect for me. Always has, since the first Longhorn beta. Have to admit though, PCLos 2K8 looks pretty good. The only problem is, there are a bizillion other distros out there and this one will be forgotten before the fall fashions go on sale. What ever happened to Mandrake anyway...or mullets for that matter?
