The big clash with Salazar!

Well, this is not too hard either,
I just shot the eye in order to be completely save about not dying,
as waiting for it's melee attack (where he tries to devour you) always carries a risk.

Sooooo, after this fight, I have exactly 382 bullets left. I promise you, they will deminish drastically, especially in chapter 5-4. O_o

Salazar's basically the reason why this game is impossible to complete using only the knife. You can only fight him with a firearm. :(

Not true. There is a glitch, found by DerekT21288, that enables knifing Salazar! Though it takes quite long, it IS possible. You will have to add an exception rule for that spot, though, allowing you to use the Striker to activate the ditman glitch.

It's not impossible, it's just you're required to use a gun at some points in the game. Other than that, about 97% of the game is completely knifable. It's extremely difficult (I've seen KiaWii's run) but it's very possible.

Oh well, I was just thinking about making a knife run but it is impossible now. :(

No, the only thing that makes the game 100% impossible to knife is saving Ashley in 3-1 & 3-4, and shooting the truck drivers in 2-3 and 5-2. And you have to shoot the switches on the mine cart ride.
