Yes, Mahalia did sing this "show tune" like gospel. That would be because she knew the Lord that gives the kind of hope referred to in the song! See you in Heaven Mahalia, what a great lady! She is one of the individuals I'd like to sit and chat with for about a thousand years!!

I always felt this was a perfect spiritual song when I heard Gary and the Pacemakers singing it. Mahalia just confirmed it for me. Just a wonderful uplifting song that feed our souls. (Born in 1967). Healing Mahalia Jackson sing this stunning song is such a fantastic blessing to me. Thanks.
