  • I am a traditionalist Catholic and I find the banter to be so disrespectful to the teachings of Christ. The Dies Irae will be here soon enough. And God will judge. To go to Tridentine Mass on Sunday requires from me a 3 hour round trip commute. Which I do. But I also go to Mass every day in English, during the week, and I find God everywhere. How you treat the stranger and your neighbor will mean much more on the Day of Reckoning, than whether you pray in Latin. Pax vobiscum.

  • We adore You oh Christ and praise You, because by Your Holy Cross You have redeemed this world.

  • @Hero5352 Franciscans are not monks they are friars -big difference in lifestyle

  • Singing this in choir, I'm struck by just how beautiful music can be. Especially in the modern world.

  • @mediacarlton Pray for my Vocation, its my 2nd year in the Seminary

  • Sacred tradition. This is part of our faith...it is truly beautiful. I am sorry you find it to be disrespectful. The English language is derived from Latin, Greek and many other languages. So to think it disrespectful is a lack of understanding of our Catholic history and present day tradition.

  • @toemac73 That's quite observant of you. However, I think the triangle is more representative of the Holy Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

And considering it's a monastery, they are most likely monks, but judging by their garb, not Franciscan monks.

Those are very good questions, thanks for asking them.

  • Jesus H Particular Christ on a bicycle!

  • @mediacarlton you're doing it wrong :D

  • @mediacarlton Well said! Thank you.

  • Very solemn and very beautiful, this is in latin isn't it. I thought that the priest didn't touch the Monstrance with bare hands, but wears a vestment to cover his hands, if I am wrong I apologise ?
