On the morning of August 30, 2011, SNRE's incoming class departed via bus for a three-day orientation at the University of Michigan Biological Station in northern Michigan.The Biostation consists of more than 10,000 acres on the shores of Douglas Lake, about five hours from Ann Arbor; students will stay in cabins and participate in a range of activities with current students and faculty.
