Mother Monologues is a continuing series of conversations recorded in secret. Captured in the intimacy of family moments, this piece examines the connections and boundaries of language and culture. These short videos animate words that are spoken versus the words heard, and the subconscious thoughts left unsaid.

Topics include social and cultural expectations of gender and age, personal success in relation to education and career status, the constructs of physical beauty, and most interestingly, what is revealed in the mundane.
