Meet HAPIfork, a radical but cool idea of a fork that has food consumption monitoring capabilities along with companion coaching app for iOS (Android coming soon). The fork measures three core signals; the meal duration, the number of bites, and the time interval between servings (eat too fat and you get a gentle vibration suggesting you slow down). HAPIfork creators believe that eating slower with encourage better eating habits. The fork will come with online dashboard to track meals, a gamification aspect to education youth about healthier eating. I'll save myself one hundred bucks and just pace myself when I eat... teaching yourself and your kids "mindful eating" is far more valuable than having a device tell you how to eat (it can't listen to YOUR body...).
